Ephesians 1:4 says that before the foundation of the world was made he chose me. Jeremiah 1:5 says before he formed us in the womb, he knew us. Romans 8:29 says for those he foreknew, he predestined.
The Bible gives us every indication that the Lord knew us and chose us even before Genesis 1.
Which leaves me with an astonishing question... Who is the “me” that He knows???
Because He knew me BEFORE the situations that make me who I think that I am.
He knew me before the scars of my life began to make layers on my psychological makeup.
He knew me before the culture conditioned me.
He knew me before my parents raised me.
He knew me before they robbed me, before they raped me, before they took advantage of me, before they left me. He knew me before I breathed a breath on this side of eternity.
Which means that He knows a version of me that even I have never met.
Finding who I truly am can ONLY happen in the depth of my connection with the Lord. Which basically means, search for He and I’ll find me.
I was searching myself to find out who I really am. I realized that I could never find the true me until I first went to He.
